I figure the best way for me to lose weight is to have some serious goals. Why not throw myself into running events and triathlons, right? I and 6' tall and 300lbs and I highly doubt there is a clydesdale division.

Swim, bike and run at the annual H-F Racquet & Fitness Club Indoor Triathlon. Two dates available! Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25. Club membership is not required. Advanced entry closes Friday, Feb. 17. Individual fees are $30 for residents, $35 for non-residents. Team relay fees are $60 for residents, $75 for non-residents. More info at

2013 Homewood-Flossmoor Indoor Triathlon:
Swim in a 25 yard pool, Bike on Keiser Spin Bikes, Run on LifeFitness Treadmills.
Awards to top 3 Overall Male/Female, and top 3 in each age group.
Special awards will be given to athlete with furthest distance in each component (Swim/Bike/Run) for Males/Females.

Swim:
The swim portion (10:00) will be done in 25 yard Indoor Pool.
Distance will be recorded to nearest ½ lap.
T-1:
There will be a 10:00 transition before bike portion.
Bike:
The bike portion (20:00) will be on LifeFitness Upright Stationary Cycles.
Resistance will factor into distance.
Distance will be recorded to the nearest tenth of a mile..
T-2:
There will be a 5:00 transition before run portion.
Run:
The run portion (15:00) will be done on LifeFitness Treadmills.
Distance will be recorded to nearest tenth of a mile.
