Goodbye 2012 Trek 7.5 fx

I finally made the decision to trade in my hybrid for a road bike.  I now know that I like 2 things ... road cycling and touring.  I am getting rid of the hybrid because I want dedicated bikes for each road cycling and touring.  Yes, I can do both on the hybrid but I have test rode the other bikes and they feel dedicated bike are a better choice.

I ordered this 2012 Trek 7.5 fx new from GoodSpeed Cycles in Homewood, Illinois (my LBS) on May 9, 2012.  I chose this bike for several reasons that in retrospect were not all accurate.  My primary reason for choosing a hybrid over a road bike is that I thought that my big belly would not allow me to comfortably utilize the drop bars.  I never even test rode a road bike to validate this wild assumption.

As best as I can estimate I put about 1,200 miles on the fx.  I did not have a bike computer for a couple months and I did not have a Garmin till 2013 so this is a best guess.

The below picture is of my beloved hybrid as it is handed over to GoodSpeed Cycles for trade-in where I originally purchased it new.
