March 2013 Training Totals

I had no events in March. My health was good for the entire month. No sickness, illnesses or pains. Last month I did have a couple of pains in my lower calf muscle just above my achilles and ankle but more in the muscle. Turns out I just needed new shoes. I now have 3 pairs of shoes I rotate.

My totals for the month are as follows:
Swim = 3.55 mi (down 21% from last month at 4.3 mi)
Bike = 194.26 mi (up 197% from last month at 98.28 mi)
Run = 39.05 mi (up 133% from last month at 29.26 mi)
Walk = 11.15mi (up 425% from last month at 2.62 mi)
Total = 248.01 mi ( up 184% from last month at 134.46 mi)

I spent a total of 26:10 hours training between 41 workouts on 25/31 days.

My goal for April is to hit the training even harder after the 8k race on 4/7. Concentrating on longer (90 minutes) easy rides and runs with a bit of weight training mixed in.

Last month my goal was to train long and hard all month primarily running. I wanted to have the same cycle, walk and swim mileage totals but I am aiming to complete 60 miles (double) of Feb. run total.  Instead of doubling the run I doubled the bike.  This is cool but I still need to increase volume for the run.
